Prenatal Yoga

We currently offer Prenatal Yoga on Sundays from 6:30-7:45pm. Help prepare your body and mind for motherhood and have support during your pregnancy.

This series will:

  • teach you positions and movements that you can use to prepare for labor and that can be used for labor progression and comfort

  • educate you on techniques and positions for pain and stress reduction during your pregnancy

  • build community and a support system amongst other pregnant women

Practicing yoga during pregnancy promotes optimum health of the mind, body and spirit during this important time in a woman’s life. Prenatal classes with focus on pranayama (breathing exercises), meditations, opening the hips, restorative poses, core/leg strength, and relaxation. Prenatal yoga can help future mother’s become more resilient during and after pregnancy. Studies have proven that prenatal yoga and meditation facilitate shorter and more manageable births, less medical interventions, increased comfort during birth, and faster postpartum recoveries.
